About the project

The main aim of this project is to create an international cooperation network of two VET schools to share knowledge and expertise and prepare for deeper cooperation soon in the field of green chemistry.

Within this project, we want to create a base for reaching our future target of updating VET curricula by developing a new joint study program/modules focused on sustainable chemistry.

The study visits are organized for 3 persons from SPŠCH Pardubice and 3 persons from the Cissi Klein vgs school. Priority in mobility will be to exchange experience and knowledge, observe our educational environments, and clarify ideas for future joint work.

Study visits

Mobilities to Norway and the Czech Republic will have an almost identical focus.

Participants will concentrate on:

  • getting to know the system of vocational education and organization of theoretical education and practical training with an emphasis on chemistry
  • comparing teaching methods and resources for teaching and learning
  • finding out about cooperation with businesses
  • visits to cooperating companies.

A large part of the visits will be devoted to discussions with the school management, teachers and representatives of cooperating companies on ideas for the planned new joint educational program/module.

The first mobility will take place in Pardubice in January 2024. SPŠCH will host three colleagues from Cissi Klein vgs. The second activity will be a study visit of three persons from SPŠCH to Cissi Klein in February 2024.

Both study visits are planned for five working days.

Study visit of Cissi Klein vgs to SPŠCH Pardubice

From 12 to 16 February 2024 our school hosted three teachers from our partner school Cissi Klein vgs in Trondheim, Norway. At the beginning they got acquainted with the educational system in the Czech Republic and the fields of education at our school. We focused most of our attention on study program of Applied Chemistry and provided the partners with a detailed curriculum of all subjects in all grades. They showed great interest in our laboratories and their equipment.

In the following days we discussed the possibilities of cooperation on joint modules focused on sustainable chemistry and together we visited the Institute of Environmental and Chemical Engineering of the Faculty of Chemical Technology of the University of Pardubice.

Our partners showed great interest in the Young Chemist competition, the project day of which took place that week.

Study visit to SPŠCH Pardubice at Cissi Klein vgs

The visit took place from 26.2. to 1.3.2024 and three employees of our school participated. This visit was also focused on getting acquainted with the system of vocational education and the organization of theoretical teaching and practical training in Norway and at Cissi Klein vgs, on comparing teaching methods and resources for teaching and learning, on cooperation with enterprises. We visited Kyrksæterøra videregående skole, a small school offering science and technology courses, and the Department of Chemistry at NTNU (Norwegian University of Science and Technology).

Finally, we agreed to continue the mutual cooperation, and one of the steps will be the implementation of reciprocal internships for teachers and students within the Erasmus+ programme, in addition to working on a joint module for sustainable chemistry.
